Beatrice's Journey: Unveiling the Unexpected in South Africa's Art Scene

In the year 2023, Beatrice embarked on a journey to rediscover the captivating landscapes of the Cape Region in South Africa, a place she had frequented in her professional pursuits. Little did she anticipate that her expedition would take an unexpected turn, transforming her into an inadvertent underground graffiti artist while enhancing her commercial skills.

Initially, Beatrice's goal was simple – to immerse herself in the beauty of the Cape Region. However, a fortuitous encounter with Ostrich Out altered the course of her travels. As an accomplished Sales Manager, she discovered a glaring gap in her expertise when it came to navigating the dynamic landscape of the Modern Artist Community in South Africa. Intriguingly, she learned that the African Modern Art Market was the fastest-growing in the world.

Eager to blend her journey with cultural enrichment and impactful training, Beatrice decided to volunteer her time in Cape Town. Here, she collaborated with well-established artists, imparting her knowledge of the "Art of Negotiation" and empowering them to present their work with newfound confidence – a direct and tangible impact.

During her stay, Beatrice found herself not only immersed in the vibrant Cape Town art scene but also invited to partake in its festivities. In a twist of fate, she received impromptu training from Ron John, one of the globe's most renowned graffiti artists, delving into the realm of "urban and underground street art."

The culmination of her experiences posed an interesting question: would Swiss authorities appreciate this unconventional knowledge transfer as much as Beatrice did? Regardless, what was certain is that she returned home with an enriched perspective, having undergone a delightful and unexpected travel experience. Moreover, she managed to contribute valuable skills to the Cape Town artist community, leaving an indelible mark on both herself and the creative landscape she encountered.
